Just look at this beautiful hearts cookies – they're so cute and very tasty!
These crumbly and aromatic shortbread cookies will become an delicious gift for Valentine's day!
To make those cookies you need 2 heart-shaped cookie cutter: a large and a small ones.
Ingredientes
For 30 pieces:- 100 g sugar powder
- 150 g butter
- 2 egg yolks
- 260 g flour
- a piece of salt
- a piece of vanilla
- red-colored jam (strawberry, raspberry, cranberry)
Stir soft butter with sugar powder.
Add yolks and stir again.
Add sifted flour, salt and vanilla.
Make soft shortcrust pastry and put to the fridge for 2 hours.
Preheat the oven to 200 C (356 F).
Roll the pastry 3-5 mm thick between 2 pieces of baking paper.
Cut the cookies with a large heart-shaped cookie cutter.
Use the small cookie cutter to cut little hearts out in half of cookies.
Put cookies on a tray covered with baking paper and bake for 12-15 minutes to golden light.
Let cookies cool a little, then sprinkle pieces with “heart windows” with sugar powder.
Put a little of jam on the centers of other cookies.
Put them together, and give sweet valentines to your loved ones!
